CHURCH OF PENTECOST SANITATION CAMPAIGN. . . AMANFROM DISTRICT ORGANIZES CLEAN-UP EXERCISE.

Hundreds of members of the AMANFROM DISTRICT of CHURCH OF PENTECOST have come together to rid the entire community of filth as the Church embarked on a nationwide project to keep Ghana clean.

Friday 6th March exercise saw both young and old in the church join hands to desilt choked gutters, clear weeds and evacuate refuse within the Amanfrom community.

The exercise forms part of the church’s contribution in complimenting government efforts towards improving sanitation.

Speaking to media in an interview, the District pastor of the Amanfrom church of Pentecost ,Pastor Isaac justice Kofi Ackom said the mandate of the church is not to only preach about God, but to also encourage environmental safety.

The campaign which is an initiative of the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, is to instill a sense of responsibility to keeping our environmental clean.

The campaign themed “Environmental Care, My Responsibility ” is aimed at rallying members of the Church of Pentecost to improve the level of sanitation in the country.

By engaging in this exercise, we believe sanitation-related disease will reduce drastically,” he stated.

“…we are trying to tell the whole of Amanfrom and its environs that when we are saved, we are saved with a holistic view…that once you are saved, God is expecting you to have a good health, and God is expecting you to be a good person. So we are trying to inculcate this vision in our people who are around this area.

They also used the opportunity to fixed their deplorable road linking from Polar junction to their mission House to make easy movement for the drivers and the residents in the area.

Participants also took the opportunity to educate residents on the need to keep their environment clean to avoid diseases.

Pastor Isaac justice Kofi Ackom used the opportunity to appealed to Ghanaians to exhibit high sense of responsibility to ensure peace and tranquility during the December 7 2020 elections.

He cautioned the youth to avoid politicians who would attempt to use them to cause mayhem ahead of the December elections.

He advised the youth to be focus and shun any acts of political vigilantism in the lead up to this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections to advance the country’s democratic credentials.

CHURCH OF PENTECOST DONATE TO SEPE BUOKROM HEALTH CENTRE

The leadership of Sepe Buokrom Central Assembly of the Church of Pentecost presents chairs and toiletries to SepeBuokrom Health Center
The Church of Pentecost, Sepe Buokrom Central Assembly in the Manhyia North constituency of the Ashanti Region has donated chairs and toiletries to Sepe Buokrom Health Center to augment health care delivery in the community.

The items presented to the health facility include three sets of three-in-one brand new metal chairs and toilet rolls worth GHC 3,600
The church made the presentation on Saturday, 29 February 2020 after a cleaned-up exercise was held to tidy some principal streets of the community in fulfilment of the church’s “ Environmental Care Campaign ” launched in 2018 which aimed at complementing government’s efforts to improve sanitation as well as transform every sphere of society with Godly principles and values.

The leadership of the church also commissioned an ultra modern bus terminal valued three thousand Ghana cedis (ghs3000) to support local transport service.
The District Pastor, Frederick Sarfo said the gesture forms part of the church’s social responsibility, and underscored the need for every church to give assistance to societies where they operate.

According to Pastor Fredrick, the church must give back the needed resources to society as part of its quest in propagating the gospel worldwide.
In his view, government alone cannot curb environmental degradation resulted from human activities.
He, therefore, advocated for behavioural change among the citizenry.

A lot of school going children stop schooling and venture into galamzey activities which we are going to collaborates with the chiefs in every community within my area to enact law that will prevent any child from engaging in galamzey activities.

NBU PROJECT; CATHOLIC SEMINARIANS DONATE WHEEL CHAIRS TO NBU TRAINEES IN KUMASI.

Three Catholic Seminarians from Sunyani Diocese have donated three wheel chairs to three physically challenged trainees of the No Business as Usual (NBU) Project under the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability Programme (YEEP).
The price value of the donated items is 600Euros and were presented in the name of Shepherds Rod Foundation.
The trio donors are executives of the Foundation.
They were presented on the 30th of January 2020 at the hub of the European Union funded project, located within the Asokore Mampong Municipality.
Beneficiaries were Samiratu Umah (beads maker by profession), Zainab Yakubu (beads maker by profession) and Abdul Hussein (shoe maker by profession), all residents of Aboabo.
They were trainees under the Alpha category and were also part of the 2019 batch of graduans.
The seminarians were Enoch Amponsah and William Danquah who are regional organizers for the Foundation plus Dennis Yeboah Gyabaah (President).
They (seminarians) are also students of St. Gregory de Great Seminary-Parkoso.
According to the President Dennis Yeboah Gyabaah, the donation was called to play consequent to a request which was put before them by Vincent Ohene-Ntow (Program Manager SBs/PPPs, NBU Manager) vis-à-vis the need for the extension of support to some of the trainees who are physically challenged.
He disclosed exclusively to Ghana Bulletin Online that they were again moved to make the donation after realizing the enterprenuerial impact officials of NBU have and are making within the Asokore Mampong Municipality.
The pivot of the benevolent act as underscored by Dennis Yeboah Gyabaah is to provide mobility to individuals who are physically challenged.

Officials of the much talked about No Business as Usual (NBU) Project in partnership with The Women’s Haven Hub Africa on the 8th of February 2020 organized an entrepreneurship and employability event for the entire student population of Kumasi Girls Senior High School in the Ashanti region.
In line with the former’s (NBU) Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship Program (YEEP) and the vision of the later (The Women’s Haven Africa), close to over 2,000 young senior high school girls of Kumasi Girls SHS who turned up for the event which was held at the assembly hall of the institution were offered knowledge by facilitators on how to become employable and start their own business after school.

Bringing into fruition the objective of the event, students were assisted to identify their abilities and were exposed to opportunities available to them after school at the various hubs specifically the NBU hub and the Women’s Haven Africa Hub.
They were again enlightened on the essence of charting the course of their lives right after SHS.

The day’s event was held under the theme; ”Life Begins after SHS”. Taking the form of speaker presentations and activity based exercises, speakers shared their life stories on how they decided to start their specific careers.
The activity based exercises helped participants to understand the various skills and talents they have and how they can harness and prepare for the future without wasting too much of their time while they are still young. Organizers took students through test to help them see whether they are more suited for employability or entrepreneurship.

Addressing the media, Youth Coach for NBU Project Roberta Attaa Aryeetey disclosed that the event was prompted into motion after officials realized that most of the youth are faced with challenges which they can work on even before the completion of school if assisted.

She continued that a number of students after school want to engage themselves in a job but it appears that most of them have zero experience because they spent so much time home doing nothing when they could have used their time to get the experience they need for their jobs in the future.
She therefore advised students to manage their time well and add value to their lives.

GARDEN CITY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM NBU TRAINING… RECEIVE PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

The leadership of No Business as Usual Project (NBU) have extended their entrepreneurship training to students of Garden City University College in the Ashanti region.
Through a collaboration between authorities of the college and implementers of the European Union funded Project (NBU), the latter on the 15th February 2020 assembled close to over 400 students of the institution and offered them exposure to recent trends in the entrepreneurship ecosystem whiles challenging them to be critical thinkers and problem solvers.

nder an official event called “IGNITE 8.0”, partakers covering students and aspiring entrepreneurs exchanged innovative ideas, established networks and possible partnerships towards igniting their entrepreneurship drive.
It was held on the campus of the University under the theme; “IGNITING YOUR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DRIVE” and assisted in empowering participants on how to take advantage of their research work and turn them into viable businesses.
It aided attendants to explore the various funding options for Businesses start-ups and again empowered them on how to take advantage of their research work and turn them into viable business.

At the event, a platform was created to discuss various business ideas that students can explore on the campus citing as an example the success of Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates.
Briefing the press, Training Coordinator for NBU Shaibu Fuseini expressed worry over how Ghana’s educational approach on entrepreneurship is so much theoretically focused.

Mr. Francis Owusu-Akyaw, a mineral consultant by profession has filed his nomination forms as a prove of his readiness to contest as a parliamentary candidate on the ticket of NPP for Juaben Constituency of the Ashanti region.
He made a submission of his forms last Thursday, 20th February 2020 at the constituency party office backed by the large escort of over 150 party delegates and residents of the constituency.
After the filing, a collosal number of jubilant and loyal supporters together with the parliamentary hopeful Mr. Francis Owusu-Akyaw lovingly described as the “Redeemer” for Juaben embarked on street walk to create public awareness of his candidature.
Mr. Francis Owusu-Akyaw who is affectionately described as a man of transparency, accountability and accessibility expressed during a press briefing that he is prepared to salvage the constituency from the myraids of challenges thwarting its progress and also help maximise votes for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The poor state of affairs of Juaben Constituency he indicated demands a person of his Calibre so that more needful developmental projects will be set up for the face-lifting of the area.

Though currently not the member of Parliament for the constituency, Mr Francis Owusu-Akyaw in his statement disclosed a number of projects he has constructed at his own expense within a number of communities.
They include the construction of a police post at Achiase-Bomfa, renovation of Esaase M/A JHS teachers quarters, construction of mechanised boreholes among others.
Through his numerous benevolent support, a number of people within the constituency have tagged him as a benignant and humane person.
He pledged to heighten his support for youth development and education within the constituency if given the nod.
