Following the coronavirus lockdown in the greater Kumasi by government over the spread of the virus,the Chief of Nzema in the Kwadaso Municipality Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo has distributed food items to every every Hospital and Health centers within his Juridictions including their three months Light Bills.

The items running into hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedis included bags of rice,boxes of litres of cooking oil, tins of sardines together with undisclosed sums of money meant to help the beneficiaries cope with life due to the lockdown.

Nana Ayeboafo who led his elders in the distribution of the food items from house to house said as a result of the lockdown some residents are faced with basic challenges due to restrictions of movement and it was high time the affluent also played their part at this trying moment.

Nana further extended his helping Hand to benefits every households and Hospital and Health centers at Wiamoase his father’s home town in the sekyere East South district.

OVER 500 AGED AND WIDOWS WITHIN SUAME MUNICIPALITY BENEFITED FROM SOMPAHEMAA FOUNDATION.

Following the corona virus lockdown in the greater kumasi by the Government over the spread of the virus,

The President of sompahemaa Foundation , Mrs Irene Kyei Mensah, the wife of Majority leader in Parliament has donated to over 500 widows and Aged within suame Municipality.

The donation was sponsored by Mrs Irene Kyei Mensah,(sompahemaa) the wife of Majority leader in Parliament through its ‘Widow’s Smile Project’ donated assorted items to widows and the aged at 30 electoral areas in the suame Municipality in the Ashanti region.

The donation of the items was in the light of the Easter festivities and the lockdown directives by the government.

The items running into millions of Ghana cedis included, 5kilos bags of rice,Litres of cooking oil,Indomie, bottles of soft drinks,Tin tomatoes and others donated to help the beneficiaries cope with life due to the lockdown.

Presented the items to the widows and Aged the president Mrs Irene osei kyei mensah bonsu (sompahemaa) said as Foundation they believe everybody must enjoy this Easter and the lockdown in our homes, we must share with our widows and the Aged if their husband were alive they would be smiled particularly during the yuletide festivities.

The president of the Foundation mrs Irene Osei Kyei mensah (Sompahemaa) used the opportunity to urged all Ghanaians to abide by the restrictive measures put on place to fight against the covid 19 .

She ended by urging the widows to remember the foundation in its prayers to do more for them.

However the widows who received the item thanked the sompahemaa foundation led by mr Irene Osei Mensah Bonsu for the kind gesture done.

Following the coronavirus lockdown in the greater Kumasi by government over the spread of the virus,the Chief of Asokwa in the Asokwa Municipality Nana FE-BAAMOAH ll has today distributed food items to every household within Old Asokwa in the Ashanti Region.

The items running into hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedis included Hand sanitisers, Veronica Buckets , Bags of rice,Boxes of cooking oil, Bags of Sachet water and Boxes of Soaps meant to help the beneficiaries cope with life due to the lockdown.

Nana said “Obviously, the temporary break of businesses during the lockdown period, will adversely affect my peoples, hence my widow’s mite to give them a cushion in these trying times,” he said.

“The donation is to send a clear message to Ghanaians about the need for us to unite; stay positive; do not panic; remain strong, and be each other’s keeper in these trying times, which will definitely pass soon,” he added.

Nana FE-BAAMOAH also used the opportunity to admonish Ghanaians to stay at home, practice social distancing and uphold all other directives from health experts, to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

He therefore laud the Government for the effort and good measures he has put in place to fight against the covid19 .

Some beneficiaries overwhelmed with joy expressed gratitude to the Chief for his kind support and wished him well pointing out it has brought big relief to them.
