Patriotic gents is one of the recognized associated been accredited for the ruling New Patriotic Party and Offinso chapter of the said association has been inaugurated today at Offinso South constituency.
More than two hundred members of patriotic gents Offinso South constituency had promised to go all areas of Offinso South constituency in order to win more votes for the ruling New Patriotic Party ahead of December 7th general election.

Speaking to the media today at the inaugural ceremony, the chairman of Offinso Patriotic Gents Hon.Uthman Kabore Issaku stated that they are going to target ghetto to ghetto, bar to bar for them to win more votes for Nana Addo and their Member of Parliament.

He said the recent campaign team of Offinso South Constituency of the New Patriotic Party is very weak so since we have inaugurated our group today we are not going to make any stone unturned.

On the other note the constituency chairman of Offinso South Constituency Mr.Amuofa Apuobi Yiadom also known as chairman Bantama expressed his happiness for the new association patriotic gents of Npp in Offinso.
He said the as the chairman of the party he will make sure that all the logistics will be provided and whatever the party will receive here you will get your share as a recognized institution in our party.

The leadership of Sekyere Afram plains district in the Ashanti region led by Hon Joseph Owusu, a.k.a Odenkyem has honored over one thousand hard working farmers in the district with farming inputs like spraying machines, cutlasses,

tricycles, bicycles television set and honoring certificates for their contribution towards food security in the country at the 36th farmers day celebration at Drobonso.

Twenty (20) selected farmers received special package from the district assembly while the rest of others also received package from the DCE, Hon Joseph Owusu with the objective to encourage them on their support and contribution towards planting for food and jobs program.

A 45 years old young man, Mr Daniel Donkor adjudge as the district best farmer for 2020.

In his part, Hon Joseph Owusu, a.k.a said that, the assembly has made huge contribution of provided farming tractor equipment and tools to the farmers in the four zonal areas including, Anyinofi, Fumsua, Dawia and Drobonso which is contributing significant impact on agriculture productivity.

He said, the assembly has also supplied the farmers of rice growers association in the district with two thousand five hundred and fifty (2,550) rice seedlings to help increase local rice production in the country.

The district director of agriculture, Mr Daniel Kwabena Adjei urged the farmers to always seek advice from agric extension officers to help them increase their yield.

The chief of Drobonso, Nana Dwamena Dankwah Dwubin-Siaw II, used the occasion to appealed to the leadership of the assembly to introduce special plantain market in the district to help the farmers sell their products.

The Chief Executive Officer of EKK Charity foundation, Mr.Evans Kofi Kwafo has revealed that the IGP and Army Commander of Ghana Arm forces will be hold responsible if there is any electoral violence in this upcoming December 7th election.

Speaking today at the peace and unity walk with all the political parties in Ghana throughout the principal streets of Kumasi, the chief executive officer of EKK Charity foundation, Mr Evans Kofi Kwafo revealed that politics is all about sharing an ideas in Democratical ways so why should we fight and kill ourselves for someone selfish interest. He opined that Ghana is the only country that we have and we should try as much as possible to buried our political differences and think about our country Ghana since Ghana is bigger than any political party.

Stressing that politicians normally behaves as if they are enemies but when you get closer to them you can see that they are not antagonists.
The humble and God fearing philanthropist who has been supported vulnerable in our society for quite a long time added that the youth are the future leaders of this country and for that matter they shouldn’t allow themselves to be use and dump by these greedy politicians.

He said if you are a youth and politicians give you money to cause any confusion please try as much as possible to report the person to police.
Mr.Evans Kofi Kwafo therefore advised the youth to be vigilant and not allow themselves to be taken for granted. Ghana is the only country that we have so let us protecting it and with unity we can progress.

The new patriotic party of Sekyere Afram plains constituency together with chiefs have observed a befitting final funeral rites for the former constituency communication officer of Npp, late Paul Jigiri Alhassan on Tuesday 3,November 2020, at Nyameama no_1 in the Constituency.

In attendance were the former Ashanti regional organizer of NPP who is currently the Ashanti Regional coordinator of Settlers,Mr Daniel Agyenim Boateng, Hon Joseph Owusu, Odenkyem, Mr Suleiman Hamidu, Mr Amoh Justice, Mr Amoah, Monica Mensah, Yaa Adu, Mr Joseph Afram, Mr Obeng Adams, Salifu Ibrahim, Mr Michael Adosia, Abdul Rahman Latif, Mr M.O Yeboah and other party supporters.

Moreover, the representative of chief of Drobonso, all the sub-chiefs of the constituency, family members of Konkomba community joined by some journalists from Obuoba FM, Otec FM and Kessben FM/Tv.

The NPP Secretary for the Ejura Sekyedumase Constituency, Madam Gifty Ndoma has donated seven brand new motorbikes worth several thousands of cedis and physical cash of GhC10,000 to the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Hon Salisu Bamba who doubles as DCE, to support the party’s campaign towards annexing the seat of the constituency from the NDC. She made the donations on Saturday, 31st October after the party’s health walk which was intended to energise the grassroots and touch base with party supporters. The event was attended by hundreds of party supporters and sympathisers in and around the constituency who were clad in party colours.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Madam Gifty indicated that she had every confidence that the party will win the next elections with a landslide. “I think Ghanaians have seen the good works of the president, Nana Akufo-Addo and his abled vice, Dr Bawumia and there’s no question about the renewal of their mandate. The only question is how to widen the gap”, she said. Touching on the chances of the PC she intimated: “Salisu Bamba has transformed the face of the municipality since becoming MCE. His achievements have been monumental. I am confident he will win the NPP the seat like he did sometime back”.

The Bekwai Municipality has so far this year, recorded a total of 48 road accident leading to the death of nine persons.

Speaking in an Interview at Bekwai, The Municipal Director of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority, (DVLA) Mr.Robert Agyemang Weitty attributed most of the accidents to drivers negligence.

“Ninety five percent of the country’s road accidents is as a result of the negligence on the part of drivers” He emphasized

Mr Agyemang Weitty attributed the drivers negligence to factors such as fatigue due to long distance travelling without rest.

This is one of the major causes of road accidents and it is advisable that drivers should not drive for four continuous hours without taking some rest. If a driver finds himself in a situation where the body needs rest there is the likelihood that he could doze off behind the steering wheels thus, endangering his own life, passengers and other road users.

He also challenged vehicle owners to maintain regular servicing regime for their vehicles
Mr Agyemang Weitty regretted that regular maintenance of vehicles has become a burden on most vehicle owners and urged them to change defective or worn out parts as soon as they are detected .

“Every vehicle has a maintenance cycle and this should be strictly followed to ensure that it is road worthy t all times as determined by the manufactured as a routine exercise to keep the vehicle safe.”

According to him another worrying challenge facing the road transport system is overloading especially of haulage trucks.

“It is common to find trucks overloaded with goods and in some situations with passengers perched on top of the goods being hauled. This is very risky and should be avoided at all times.” He advised

Mr Agyeman Weitty further stated that the law enforcement agencies have to critically look at this challenge because it endangers the lives of all road users.

Vehicles overloaded with goods and passengers is a situation very common in the hinterland even on the high ways the scenes of haulage trucks fully loaded with food stuffs entering the city centres have become very familiar .

“Such scenes are very disturbing and contributed extensively to road accidents. He noted.;
